Ojero - In the Beginning
Before time, before space, before anything one can conceive, there was Run’anor. The Father of All. From nothing Run’anor brought forth from thought the first Engaor, known in modern tongue as Guardians.
Zior, Run’anor blessed with time, and the first moments began. Raor, Run’anor blessed with the heavens, and the first of space became. Ceor, Run’anor blessed with the earth, and Racë began to be. These elements were for them to mould, but Run’anor bid them wait, and his bidding was their wondrous command. Racë was dark, formless, and empty, the elements untouched by voice or hand, and Run’anor watched over it. The first of the children of his thought were with him, and they would create on his command.
And Run’anor spoke the first words. He called into existence Lenor, whom Run’anor blessed with light. In the same breath so was Nior called, whom Run’anor blessed with dark. Lenor was given ownership of the day, and Nior ownership of night.
Zior flew past on cutting wings, and for the first time in history, a day came to pass.
In the morning, as Lenor donned his golden robes, the Guardians found another and sang joyously to Run’anor at the addition to their number. She was named Wenor, and Racë was no longer empty. She was blessed with water, and it was bountiful, filling the world of Run’anor’s creation, under the sunlight it shined with the glory of light. Lenor and Wenor soon became fast friends. Wenor had but followed her Run’anor’s instructions, and they all six marvelled at the creation that He had wrought. There was even water in Raor’s sky, filling the empty expanse with clouds, that with Lenor’s ending of the day, and Nior’s beginning of the night, painted a view that none have seen but the six who Run’anor first created.
Zior flew past on cutting wings, and the second day came to pass.
